Great Barrier Reef
The great Barrier Reef is located in the coral sea, it is on north-east coast of Australia. It goes for 2,300km or more along the coastline of Queensland. This is one of the best reefs to to snorkel in, you want to take in all the splendor and beauty that you see. This Reef is roughly 348,000km2, the reef is is big that it can be seen from out of space. If you were to take the whole reef ‘ the physical of it’ it’s bigger then Victoria and Tasmania put together.

 


Abrolhos Islands

This Island is on the Western Australia coast, roughly 60km west of Geraldton. It’s in the warm western Australian waters. The surroundings here are amazing, the tropical sea creatures love it here and this is where they meet. The blue waters and the sunset here are absolutely breath taking as well. Thus making this place a wonderful place to snorkell.

 


Rowley Shoals Islands

Rowley Shoals is located in the north of Broome. Here you’ll find beautiful colored corals, lots of sea life and a ship wreck. Once you dive in you’ll see gardens of coral, huge clams and all other types of shellfish. There is an amazing 233 different corals in these waters, in this it’s very well known for. Snorkeling here is a pleasure.

 

Mackerel Island

This island is great for diving, fishing and ocaurse snorkeling. It’s on the North West coast of Onslow in Western Australia. It is about 22km from Onslow’s shore. The awesome clear water and beautiful sand speak for themselves. This is a place of also gorgeous and colorful reef. There is plenty different spots to choose from, in where you want snorkel and explore.

 

Low Isles

Low Isles is in Port Douglas which is on the north of Cairns. Low Isles has coconut palms, beautiful sand and spectacular gardens of coral. There is over over 150 hard corals and around 15 soft ones. There a lot more then just coral to see, there is angelfish, damselfish, trivially ‘giant one’, and many others that you can enjoy while snorkelling. This is an other ideal place to consider when planning a snorkeling trip.
